Nostalgia always sounded like an Italian pasta to me.
Digging your rendition! it changes the entire feeling of this level for me! Some people might not like it because it interferes with their nostalgia but I really enjoy hearing peoples interpretation of our favorite Zelda themes
Yeah it's definitely a horse of a different color from the original.
Awesome! I should have added this theme to my medley! The attack on the strings is tad high, barely noticeable so I'm thinking you did it intentionally for style?
Yep.
I think you need to balance out the levels for the Xylophone or Marimba, whichever one you are using. Other than that I think it's great!
Marimba.
This definitely invokes the feeling of awe you get when battling the bosses of Skyward Sword.
I haven't heard the Minish village theme in a while! I'm really enjoying your rendition of it!
Thank you!
Link's Awakening is my favorite followed only by Majora's mask and the recent A Link between Worlds. That being said, I feel like you've captured the feeling of both the hope, courage and despair in that that theme really carries both musically and lyrically. It really did have one of the most depressing endings of any Zelda game.
I'll say (for the ending). Watching it made me feel as though my heart was being wrenched! By the time I did this version, Chuggaaconroy was about to tackle the final boss in the Wind Fish's Egg, so I doubt this cover actually did get to his attention -- but no matter. Because I learned of a beautiful story, I wanted to put it into song, and here it is.
Thanks for listening though -- glad you liked it. ^_^
If anyone ever made a fan film(or flash) based off Link's Awakening this would be the on the soundtrack.
Step:1 Listen
Step:2 Try not to cry
Step:3 Cry
Lol this just put the biggest smile on my face :D Thanks
I love the concept but I feel like the square tracks were laid on really thick. Almost overpowers the melody of your mashup. I still enjoy the crap out of this song that being said.
Hmm. It's possible. I'm really partial to Square vs Saw, so I suppose I didn't notice.
Thanks for the honest review.
