That was hilarious, my only criticism is on your audio, there's a lot of noise.

M4Studios responds:

Thank you very much. Yeah my good mic just died so i had to record with my headset. sorry for that ^^

I love sprite fights! Backgrounds, work on them. Honestly it just looks like you've slapped your art on top of a 5 year old's finger painting. You can never go wrong with sprites but the wrong background can turn into an eyesore. I would work on that dont be afraid of asking around the forums for help on this.

AnimeBoss responds:

Lol, I understand clearly what you mean. I agree, But it's hard for me to find high quality sprite backgrounds.
//btw, didn't know much sprite animators still existed on NG. where in the forum can i find help?//

I really like it's premise! you just need to work on your VO. Don't be afraid to ask for help by our other users here on the forum or PM

2Fraimz responds:

If VO stands for "voice over", then yeah, I know it's not great. There's only so much I can do about that though... might ask other people to do voice acting for me on longer animations.

Very good usage of a gif, animation and audio sync.

Gibb50 responds:

Thanks, it was scary, making this

While I congratulate you on your creation and debut as a creator on this site, it is very important that you take your time making your content and continuously striving to improve yourself, if you are using adobe, I suggestion using their tutorial database to improve your skills. If your goal is to join strawberryclock crew then good for you for joining their troll group.

all that aside the main things I see that you sound looking into improving are:

- smoother animation. (currently it looks as if your flash was a cardboard puppet show.)

- Audio (Always check your audio levels! They don't always have to be at maximum level to be effective also there are plenty of royalty free audio sites that you can use, mainly this one. that you can use as sound fx, ambiance, VO, etc. so you don't have feel like you don't have any resources on that end and limit yourself to only one source. Inversely, you can always create your own audio. )

- Planning and directing (I suggest starting off with a story board, it can be something as simple as a four panel comic. Start off with an idea, then work your way toward how you want to accomplish your idea {characters, setting, background, narrative, personality})

- Spellcheck (self explanatory)

I'm not saying you need to be the best artist or animator to effectively tell a story or in your case a "parody" It's not what you say but how you say it.

"Parody is a kind of comedy that imitates and mocks individuals or a piece of work. However, when it mingles with satire, it makes satire more pointed and effective. Most importantly, a parody appeals to the sense of humor. Poking fun at the set ideals of society and becomes aware of the lighter side of an otherwise serious state of affairs. Thus, parody adds spice to a piece of media that keeps the people interested."

If your intention was to make a joke, you failed. At best, you made a statement. Your statement being "If I ever actually saw this bear from "Freddy's five nights" I would just beat it with a bat." I suggest looking up some of Buzzfeed's Expectations vs Reality videos on youtube. It should give a better understanding type of parody you were trying to execute.

That being said, Welcome to newgrounds I expect to see more from you and see you grow.

RB responds:

Well, except that troll part, it's kinda true. But the thing is, I'm having problems with Flash, and mic is crappy, I could do the animation properly.
And, 4 days, aren't 4 days of full time job.
Thanks for the review.

slow pace but still a solid animation

aliascartoons responds:

Thanks buddy. You are right, I still need to work on timing, is tricky, I need more experience and time to experiment :)

the animation could be smoother; overall: awesome! the sound quality: not sure if it's from my connection but I thought it could have been better, try using a different encoder next time. keep it up man! I hope to see more awesome work from you

RetroSleep responds:

I think I own shitty speakers too because I can't really tell how bad it is, but everyones telling me its crappy so it has to be. I will try some new encoders before I upload again. Thank you for the advice and the support!

It's a nice little animation i'l give you that. But your going to want to put more work into your projects if you want them on this site. Still don't be discouraged to post your works in progress into this site for review and criticism. I suggest making use of the forums and project system. Make some friends and have them review your stuff before submitting them for publication.

Also, you did a pretty good job with the voice over. it could use some improvement but still pretty good. It came out nice and clear and wasn't entirely too loud. Your acting on the other hand needs improvement. keep it up!

Slapland responds:

Thanks, this was just a crappy thing I made on my I pad a while ago, and there's been great improvement to both the effort and quality of my animations. And again thanks for your review, I really appreciate it

I have no idea what it is about this show that has people drawn to it, and even caused "bronies" to appear. So my review is somewhat biased. none the less just work up on cleaning up the animation and work on your audio, maybe use some of the music here on newgrounds instead of the prelude from final fantasy. also seriously change the narrator. I could barely hear you and you need to learn how to inflect your voice (change pitch) it's both monotone and boring. Maybe you should look into having some of the NG Voice Actors do it for you after all collaboration is what this site is all about. I'm going to pass this animation because I can see that you took the time and effort to make this. I sincerly hope you take my advice and contact some of the animators, artist, musicians and VOs here on newgrounds for your future projects

LessThanNormal responds:

I greatly appreciate the advice on it, this is actually an edit to the voice, the other had complaints from almost every person about the monotone voice and narration, so this is a step higher than our last post. As for the music, i didnt even think about using NG, for some reason never thought about it to tell the truth. For animation, we are more of a 2 man group. Not really asking people to help us with the animation. We've made it this far with little to no help in the prgram and we'll most likely keep it that way unless absolutely nessessary. Everything is being taken into great concideration. And no ones perfect, there is no way to get absolutel flawlessness and have literally everything that one pictures to come true on sites like this, thats why we keep trying. Thanks for the comment, and the advice. *Noted*

not bad

but i think your links voice needs to be a tad bit more dynamic the voice was a little droll and monotonous but over all it was a great movie

Emptygoddess responds:

No YOU'RE droll and monotonous but overall a great movie!
